Frequently asked questions

When do I check in and out?

Please do not arrive early, unless previously arranged, as time is needed to thoroughly clean the property between lets. We also ask that you leave the property by 10 am on departure day. Please note we have a staff member who arrives at 10.00am to change linen and towels and will need access to the property.  You are advised to check your travel insurance to cover cancellation.

Where do we pick up the keys from?

The property will be ready for you to let your selves into from 4pm and the key will be on the kitchen table. You are welcome to come over to the main house to say hello or go straight in. 

Are linen and towels included?

Linen and towels are included in the price. We provide one bath towel and one hand towel per person. 

How close are the nearest beaches? 

Our nearest beach that is easily accessible is Invercaimbe approx 10 min walk away. You can walk through the campsite to get to the beach. All other beaches are just a short drive away. 

How much money do I need to bring for the electricity meter? 

The electricity meter takes £1 coins. You will need approximately £7 -10 in the summer months and £10-20 in the winter months. Please note how much electricity you use depends on how many appliances are used at one time and how many heaters you have on. 

Which properties accept dogs? 

We allow one dog in both the Cottage and Island View and charge a fee of £25 

How close is the nearest shop? 

The Spar shop is the closest and is situated in the village of Arisaig which is a mile away. There is a COOP and Spar in Mallaig which is 7 miles away The nearest supermarket is Morrisons in Fort William. 

Cot / High Chair

If requested when booking, a cot and/or high chair can be provided in all properties. Please bring your own bedding. 

Welcome Pack

Yes, all properties will have tea, coffee, sugar, so you can make a cup of tea when you arrive. We also provide basic cleaning products (washing up liquid, kitchen and bathroom cleaner and cloths, one tea towel) and toilet roll to start your stay.
