Ach na skia is a 7 acre croft in the crofting community by the sea at Back of Keppoch, a mile north of the village of Arisaig. Horses and cows graze ours and the neighbouring fields.

Eggs are usually available from our free range hens.

To the front (W.) are the islands of Eigg and Rum and ( N.W.) Skye, with the jagged peaks of the Cuillin ridge looming behind the Sleat peninsular. Creag Mhor towers behind the croft, and part of the peat bog to the north east is designated as a S.S.S.I. The new road, bypassing Arisaig, runs across the bog half a mile behind the croft.

The peat bog is home to a large number of wild flowers, including some rare species, such as the wild orchid, and also the carnivorous butterwort.

All our properties have extensive views and you are almost guaranteed to be treated to a gorgeous sunset or two from early summer on. Due to the northerly latitude, in June the sun hardly sets, but skirts around just below the horizon.
